Week 5:
September 12th to September 14th, 2016: So far so good in my 5th week here in the Mac Lab. I have succeeded in doing many things such as learning how to make my own independent work, which I’m still getting the hang of, and I’ve been creating a poster for a Fall Concert. The Due date was apparently Friday and I’ve been working on it since Monday. It’s been coming along real smoothly and I’ve been given the chance to play around with some fancy filters on Photoshop. Now it looks as good as ever and considering that I started with no instructional videos I think I did a pretty nice job on executing it. But I don’t think I’m done with it yet, so changes are eminent. I want to keep working on my independent work to get the hang of working independently but this is higher in pririt. After all, I need to think of these design quests as customers coming in with a request like the one Aquarium Show on Animal Planet. Vague references aside, everything is coming along real nicely with my Personal Life, School and Water Polo on my shoulders as well.
September 15th, 2016: I had to change my Poster today. Supposedly it was hard to for others in the class to see my title from afar and we were not allowed to use 3D filters. I also tried to shade the edges to give prominence to the center details a bit. But that was not approved of. So I had no choice but to make the edits in what might just be my final draft of the poster.
September 16th, 2016: I had a little bit of contingency this morning. As I had to claim 2 separate penalties for claiming the wrong loot for the DPE. I will see if I can repair the damage taken but I am not completely sure. I also submitted the poster from yesterday. We can only hope that it it wins now. This is Rhys Ward, signing off.
