Week 2 in the Mac Lab
Week 2:
August 23rd, 2016: This week was iffy with the tutorial quests. However, they were completely understandable. One Tutorial was even moving in a way that even made me almost cry in class. It was the quest, “Empathy, Compassion, Integrity.” It contained a project by Shane Koyczan, “To This Day.” Ever since I watched this I saw this and his became one of my most favorite pieces of Animation. This kind of animation really builds hope in fellow entrepreneurs and fans of animation in the sense that our Animation is getting progressively better each and every year. As well as more meaningful, it’s no longer on the senseless slapstick we had in the 1950’s. We now emotionally moving and interesting stories with beautiful Animation. Watch the video on Youtube, you will not be disappointed. Anyways, I went on and I’m hoping to learn how to use all of these illustrator sites soon so I can do this quest that involves a site called Gravatar. This site allows you to create a custom profile picture for any site with pictures on your computer. So I assume that I’ve gotta make something myself. I just wanna learn how to do so.
August 24th-26th, 2016: I am now full on playing with the illustrator on my mac to try and make something! I took a while to figure it out but after watching the tutorials and observing others, I figured it out! So far, it’s only my name, my nicknames, and a picture of what I call a “Zesty Angus.” I plan for this to become some sort of Logo for something. Maybe once I get better I’ll put it on a T-Shirt. Who knows about the possibilities. This is Rhys Ward, and I’m signing off for right now. This is Rhys Ward, signing off.
